Where should I locate the machine that can install and run LinkFixer Advanced?

The location of the machine running LinkFixer Advanced can significantly affect processing speed and overall performance.
For best results, install LinkFixer Advanced as close as possible to both the data you are processing and the Microsoft SQL Server database used by the application.
The fastest configuration occurs when LinkFixer Advanced is installed in the same data center or network location as:
- The data being processed
- The SQL Server database
This setup minimizes network latency and allows LinkFixer Advanced to process files and links as efficiently as possible.
Processing Data from a Remote Data Center
Performance will typically be slower if LinkFixer Advanced is installed in one data center while processing files stored in another, remote data center.
This slowdown occurs due to network latency between the two locations.
Importance of SQL Server Proximity
It is particularly important to keep LinkFixer Advanced close to the SQL Server database.
LinkFixer Advanced communicates very frequently with the SQL database—often more frequently than with the data itself. As a result, network latency between LinkFixer Advanced and the SQL Server can have a greater negative impact on performance than latency between LinkFixer Advanced and the data set.

Worst-Case Configuration
The least efficient configuration occurs when LinkFixer Advanced is installed in a location that is remote from both the SQL Server database and the data being processed. This introduces latency in both directions and can significantly reduce processing speed.
Running multiple instances of LinkFixer Advanced can significantly improve performance for large projects.
Each instance can be configured to process different segments of your data simultaneously, while all instances connect to the same SQL Server database.
