What Is This Warning Message in AutoCAD When I Open DWG Files?

When AutoCAD opens a DWG file that has been modified by LinkFixer Advanced, users may see a warning message.

Why This Message Appears

LinkFixer Advanced uses libraries from the Open Design Alliance (ODA) to open and modify DWG and DGN files. AutoCAD detects that these libraries are not the official Autodesk libraries and displays a warning message.

This behavior is not unique to LinkFixer Advanced—any tool that uses the ODA libraries will trigger the same message in AutoCAD.

When It Occurs

The warning typically appears the first time a user opens a file that has been modified by LinkFixer Advanced.

Users can safely accept the message. It does not indicate a problem with the file. After acknowledging the warning, the modified files function normally in AutoCAD.

It is recommended to inform your users in advance so they are aware that this message may appear, but that it does not affect the integrity or usability of the files.
