During the Inoculate process in LinkFixer Advanced, a 16-digit hexadecimal identifier, called a locator beacon, is inserted into the metadata of the files being processed.
When this locator beacon is embedded in the child file—the file that a link points to—it is referred to as a fileID.
When the same locator beacon is associated with a link in the parent file, it is called a linkID.
