LinkFixer Advanced can process virtually any file type as a child file. This includes:
  1. File types not licensed as parent files
  2. File types recognized but not supported as parent files
  3. Unrecognized or unknown file types
When LinkFixer Advanced encounters a child file type that is not supported or unrecognized, it generates a checksum that uniquely identifies the child file. This checksum is then associated with the link pointing to that file in the parent file.

It is not necessary to write this checksum into the child file itself, because the same file will always produce the same checksum during future processing—unless the file has been modified.
By using checksums, LinkFixer Advanced can inoculate and cure links pointing to practically any type of file, ensuring reliable link repair even for unsupported or unknown file types.
