LinkFixer Advanced considers a link to be “broken” when it cannot locate or access the child file referenced by the link.

A link is considered broken if any of the following situations occur:
  1. The child file does not exist.
  2. The child file exists, but not at the location specified by the link.
  3. The child file exists at the specified location, but LinkFixer Advanced cannot access it due to reasons such as network issues, insufficient permissions, folder encryption, or similar restrictions.
In general, if LinkFixer Advanced cannot find or access the child file—whether because it is missing, located somewhere else, or inaccessible—the link is considered broken, meaning the link no longer works as intended.
In the LinkFixer Advanced Scan Summary Report, when a broken link is detected, the child file is identified as “missing.”
