Adding multiple SharePoint on-premise or SharePoint Online sites individually can become time-consuming. LinkFixer Advanced simplifies this process by allowing bulk import of sites or site collections using the Import feature in Network Locations.
Bulk Importing SharePoint Sites or Site Collections
1. Open the menu (hamburger icon) in the top-left corner.
2. Select Network Locations.
3. Use the Import and Export options available in this section.
Preparing the CSV File
You may first add one or more SharePoint sites manually, then export them as a template:
1. Add a sample SharePoint site.
2. Click Export from the Network Locations page.
3. Save the exported CSV file.
4. Open the file in Microsoft Excel and update the fields as needed.
CSV Column Definitions
Column A – Enabled
Set to True to enable the site, or False to disable it.
Column B – Type
Use SharePoint for SharePoint sites (on-premise or Online), or OneDrive for personal OneDrive sites.
Column C – Site Collection URL
Enter the full SharePoint site collection URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/sites/example/).
Column D – SharePoint Online
Set to True for SharePoint Online, or False for on-premise environments.
Column E – Authentication Method
Choose one of the following:
WindowsIntegrated – For on-premise environments using Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
UsernamePassword – For basic authentication (non-MFA)
Office365NoConsent – Supports MFA but may not retain file metadata (e.g., modified date/by)
Office365 – Recommended for MFA; supports metadata retention and Document ID-based links
Note: Requires one-time Global Admin consent for application registration in Azure AD
Column F – Username
Enter the SharePoint or OneDrive account username.
Column G – Password
Enter the password only when using UsernamePassword authentication. Leave blank for other methods.
Column H – Password Encrypted
Set to True only when using UsernamePassword; otherwise set to False.
Column I – Authentication Hash
Leave unchanged. This field is used internally when exporting authenticated configurations.
Importing the CSV File
1. Save and close the CSV file.
2. Return to Network Locations.
3. Click Import.
4. Select your prepared CSV file.
5. Allow time for all SharePoint sites to connect.
Note:
For SharePoint Online sites using Office365 or Office365 with admin consent, you will be prompted to sign in and provide credentials during the import process.
Adding Multiple Accounts per Site (Optional)
1. To assign multiple accounts to a single SharePoint Online or OneDrive site (useful for reducing throttling):
2. Add a new row directly below the target site entry in the CSV file.
Populate only the following columns:
- Column E (Authentication Method)
- Column F (Username)
- Column G (Password, if applicable)
- Column H (Password Encrypted setting)
3. Leave all other columns blank.
4. Repeat for each additional account.
