Overview
Certain persistent SQLite-related errors can be resolved by removing the existing database files and allowing LinkFixer Advanced to recreate them automatically.
If you are experiencing issues accessing the SQLite database, follow the steps below.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Close LinkFixer Advanced.
2. Navigate to the Application Folder
Go to the “LinkFixer Advanced” folder on your desktop.
3. Open the Application Data Directory
Locate and open the shortcut labeled “LinkFixer Advanced Application Data.”
4. Back Up the Data Files
- Open the Data directory.
- Compress (ZIP) all files in this folder.
- Send the ZIP file to support@linktek.com for troubleshooting.
5. Delete Database Files
- Delete all files within the Data directory.
- Do not delete the Data directory itself.
6. Restart the Application
- Launch LinkFixer Advanced again.
- If prompted with a warning about missing database files, you may safely ignore it.
- The application will automatically recreate the necessary files.
Additional Recommendation
If SQLite-related issues persist, consider switching to SQL Server. LinkFixer Advanced typically performs faster and more reliably when connected to SQL Server instead of SQLite.
