The filename is made up of two parts:
  1. Basename (is the main file name)
  2. Extension (the part after the period)
Examples:
  1. Basename = myfile
  2. Extension = .xls
  3. Filename = myfile.xls

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open LinkFixer Advanced and select Move/Rename.

  2. Select "Create Rules" and click "Add Rule"

  3. Select the Component drop down menu and choose Filename.

  4. Either type in or click browse and navigate to the file you want to modify.
Note: Only include the filename itself, do not add folders, drives, or other path components.

  5. Click "OK" to save the rule.
