Overview: The Reports Process

The Reports process in LinkFixer Advanced allows you to generate detailed reports on the files and links stored in the database. You can choose from three report types and apply various filtering and sorting options to tailor the output to your needs.

Choose Report Type

Select the type of report you want to generate:

Regular Report (Default)
Displays parent files followed by the child files referenced by links within each parent file.

Cross Reference Report
Displays child files along with a list of parent files that contain links pointing to them.

Broken Links Report
Displays parent files that contain links to missing or inaccessible child files.

Use these options to refine the contents of your report:

Hide Files with No Matching Links
Excludes parent files that do not contain links matching your criteria

Hide Broken Links
Excludes broken links, showing only valid links

Hide Web Links
Excludes HTTP/HTTPS links (recommended to improve performance due to external validation delays)

Hide E-mail Links
Excludes email links (e.g.,
bill@microsoft.com)

Hide Folder Links
Excludes links pointing to folders instead of files

Hide Unsupported Links
Excludes unsupported link types (e.g., FTP links)

Hide Unrecognized Links
Excludes links that cannot be identified by the system

Hide Internal Links
Excludes links within the same document (e.g., bookmarks like #TableOfContents)

Sort Report Using

Choose how to organize the report:

Full File Specification (Default)
