This guide outlines the key steps required to migrate content from a file system to OneDrive using LinkFixer Advanced.

1. Verify System Requirements

Ensure your environment meets all LinkFixer Advanced system requirements before beginning the migration. This includes:
  1. Migration tools
  1. Hardware and software requirements
  1. File system and SharePoint Online account permissions
  1. SQL Server requirements
  1. SQL database setup using SQL Management Studio
  1. Required URLs and ports for software updates, license activation, and support access
Refer to: LinkFixer Advanced System Requirements

2. Map File System Drives

Map your file system shares so they are accessible to LinkFixer Advanced.

Refer to: How to map Shares in the File System

3. Map OneDrive Sites

Add your OneDrive site(s) within LinkFixer Advanced.

Refer to: How to add a OneDrive site in LinkFixer Advanced

Important:
Ensure that both the root site and site collection URLs are mapped. This enables LinkFixer Advanced to correctly identify and associate site collections with their root.

Example:
Root site: https://CompanyName-my.sharepoint.com/
Site collection: https://companyname-my.sharepoint.com/Personal/Firstname_LastName_company_com
