Installation Requirements

You must have Administrator privileges to install LinkFixer Advanced on a computer. If you do not have Administrator rights, a system administrator will need to perform the installation for you.

Running LinkFixer Advanced

Although administrative privileges are not strictly required to run the application, it is strongly recommended that LinkFixer Advanced be operated by a user account with sufficient permissions to access and modify the files being processed.

LinkFixer Advanced requires read and write access to all files and folders it will process. This includes:
  1. Local files and directories
  2. Network shares
  3. Mapped drives
  4. Other storage locations on your network

Important Note on User Accounts

Do not install or run LinkFixer Advanced using the local machine administrator account.

LinkFixer Advanced operates using the permissions of the currently logged-in user. Therefore, the user account running the application must have the appropriate access rights to all target file locations.
