Yes, LinkFixer Advanced supports SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) when connecting to an OpenText Content Server.

Configuration in LinkFixer Advanced

1. Open LinkFixer Advanced and click Network Locations in the ribbon menu.
2. Click the + OpenText button to display the OpenText configuration screen.
3. Complete the fields with the required information, making sure to include the HTTPS URL of your OpenText server in the Server URL field.

4. Click Test to verify the connection to the OpenText server.

Configuring SSL on OpenText Content Server

  1. By default, SSL bindings in OpenText are not enabled in the web.config file.
  2. Locate the <bindings> section in the web.config file on your OpenText server.
  3. Remove comments around the SSL binding entries (e.g., AdminServiceBinding_SSL), save the file, and restart the web services site in IIS Manager.
Example SSL Binding Section:

<bindings>
<basicHttpBinding>
<binding name="AdminServiceBinding" maxReceivedMessageSize="1024000"
messageEncoding="Text" transferMode="Buffered">
<security mode="None">
<transport clientCredentialType="None"/>
</security>
</binding>
<binding name="AdminServiceBinding_SSL" maxReceivedMessageSize="1024000"
messageEncoding="Text" transferMode="Buffered">
<security mode="Transport">
<transport clientCredentialType="None"/>
</security>
</binding>
</basicHttpBinding>
</bindings>

Once SSL is properly enabled and the connection is verified in LinkFixer Advanced, all communication with the OpenText Content Server will use HTTPS, ensuring secure transmission of data.
