Can LinkFixer Advanced fix my links in SharePoint if I am using the SharePoint Document ID service?

SharePoint includes an optional feature known as the Document ID Service, which allows documents to be accessed using a unique document ID in addition to the standard URL (http://) address. When enabled, SharePoint automatically resolves document ID references to the corresponding file URL.
As a result, links within SharePoint documents may reference files using their document ID instead of their direct URL.
LinkFixer Advanced supports this functionality and provides an option to translate and store link paths using document IDs rather than URL addresses. This feature can be configured from the Options | Web Access settings.
However, this option should only be enabled if:
- The Document ID Service is active on your SharePoint site, and
- You intend for all links to be stored using document IDs instead of full URL paths.
Using this setting ensures compatibility with SharePoint’s document ID-based referencing but should be applied with careful consideration of your organization’s link management strategy.
